Advantage Assam Summit: A Game Changer

Advantage Assam Summit: A Game Changer

The tiol Highway No. 37 from LGBI to Khapara was given a bridal look ahead of the Advantage Assam Summit on 3 and 4 Feb. The BJP government of Assam was successful in inviting investors to this beautiful part of the country. Being the gateway of Northeast, it has to pave the way beyond the rest of the States as it has got tremendous potentiality to excel its progress to the neighboring countries too. Guwahati being the capital city, there is a scope of expanding some elite hotels around it. The government is promising to hand over about 6,000 acres of land to the investors for establishing various industries like pharmaceutical, cosmetics, sports, information technology, besides the major prospect of tourism. The summit has received overwhelming response from some of the major industrial tycoons of this country such as Ratan Tata from Tata Group, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Group of Industries, And Burman of Dabur, Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, Dr Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group and ZEE, Sanjiv Puri of ITC Limited,Sushil Goenka, Maging Director of Emami Group etc, along with more than one-and-half  dozen other countries across the world. Hope this summit would script a history and would prove to be a game changer in terms prosperityand well being of this State.

After the Summit Hype
The Global Investors' Summit is now over. We saw many industrialists and other delegates from many foreign countries take part in the summit. As many as 200 MoUs were signed between the Assam government and different companies. There was a lot of hype around sea-planes and river taxis. The Assam government has called the summit a huge success. The BJP will now take all the credit for whatever 'succes' it is.
Now we should wait for the end results. What now matters is implementation of the MoUs in the right manner. If these MoUs are implemented in the right manner, there is no doubt that Assam will develop in an unbelievable way.
