Aftereffects of Soleimani killing

The killing of top Iranian commander Major General Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad is an act with severe repercussions. It has exponentially escalated tensions and uncertainties in West Asia. The region is witnessing conflicts in Syria and Yemen, which have killed hundreds of thousands people, with no sign of military victory or ceasefire. Iraq is recovering with considerable difficulty from battles caused by civil strife and external assault and occupation.

This is a grave situation and world bodies should come forward and voice against the issue so that no proxi war takes place. Moreover, oil prices are anticipated to go up in such a situation. I, therefore, would like to request the UN to intervene in the matter and amicably settle the issue.
