Burden of Foreigners

Burden of Foreigners

The BJP leaders intentionally believe that there is no other Hindu country in the world other than India to give shelter to Hindu migrants. But is India really ready to take this heavy load on its economy and resources? People in India struggle each day to suffice their basic needs. There is an alarming crisis in almost every sphere of India. So, before thinking of giving Citizenship to such a huge number of foreigners, the Government must pay heed to the problem of unemployment, crisis of resources and endless poverty around. The nation will be endangered on the development side, if additional burden is imposed on it. Moreover, Assam with a large number of infiltrators is constantly fighting to preserve its language, culture and ethnicity even by losing innocent lives recently. Assam has already been overloaded by the influx of illegal immigrants from 1947 up to 25th March, 1971 on the basis of the Assam Accord. The democratic and peaceful protests in Assam have been growing up against the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act). When the CAB was passed in Parliament making it an Act, there were protests all over India against the Act. I would, therefore, like to request the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in folded hands to take into consideration all pros and cons of the issue, put on hold the implementation of the CAA, and exclude Assam from its purview by taking into account the prevailing situation in the State. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal should persuade the Central government not to implement the CAA in the State.
