If Haryana can do

The news published in your daily on 8th June 2020, wherein it has been reported that in Haryana 75 per cent private jobs having salary of less than Rs 50,000 per month will be reserved for the locals. To this effect a draft ordinance will be placed in the next meeting of Council of Ministers. It has been rightly questioned that if Haryana can do it why not Assam? Here it is pertinent to note that both the states are ruled by the same party.

The Government of Assam should also take steps to force all private concerned to employ locals in their establishment. A rule should be framed by Assam government that unless these private companies don't employ at least 80 per cent locals they would not be eligible for any benefits that is extended by the State government. Further the Assam government has brought out an ordinance in its last meeting of Council of Ministers that Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneur can open industry on a self-declaration and no permission will be required from any department, and land can be purchased by them for the industries on the basis of this self-declaration. This should be applicable only for locals of the State and not for any outsider.

Since there are lots of benefits offered by banks, both State and Central governments on establishment of MSME local youths should come forward to establish industries under MSME and the State government should extend all their help to the willing entrepreneur.
