IPL in Dubai

BCCI, the most glamorous and richest sporting organization in the country is again in the news for the wrong reasons. BCCI has recently decided to hold 13th edition of cash rich IPL in Dubai as the current situation in the country doesn't permit it to hold in the country. The row over title sponsorship of the event is making headlines after Chinese mobile brand VIVO refused to be part of the event. Now a question arises why BCCI was waiting so long to disassociate itself with the mobile phone company? After what has happened in the union territory of Ladakh where 20 Indian soldiers were killed by the Chinese army, the BCCI should have immediately scrapped its ties with VIVO. Nation comes first and there cannot be any excuse with the nation's prestige. When mega events like Olympics, Wimbledon are postponed and cancelled what is the rush to hold IPL that too with the patronage of the Chinese company. It is simply because of the few BCCI officials' lust for cash and glamour. Holding IPL with any brand from China, Pakistan (mentioning just for sake as we all know Pakistan's capability) as title sponsor is completely unjustifiable.
