Kudos for preparing Assam to face corona

The world is now revisited by the Black Death of 16th century when estimated 75 to 200 million lives were lost in the Eurasia. The Black Death also called Pestilence, the Great Bubonic Plague became pandemic and recorded record-breaking human deaths. Now again we are engulfed by another dreaded virus named coronavirus which has halted the world. Countries like Italy, Spain, the USA, China, the UK, Holland, Iran, Belgium are worst effected till now. Coming to Assam one man deserves all the kudos for preparing Assam to face any eventualities. He is none other than Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Finance and Health Minister. This man worked tirelessly in motivating the doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff and also upgraded the medical infrastructures by setting up numerous isolation wards and ICUs. Even the worst of critics of the present government would laud his efforts especially the way he prepared the Health department to tackle dreaded COVID-19.
