The much anticipated and long-delayed BTR elections are over with a new formation getting ready to rule. The canvassing prior to voting was given massive media coverage and there we witnessed hectic campaigning by the leading politicians of parties trying to woo the voters. Whether one likes Himanta Biswa Sarma or dislikes him, but one thing is sure he is an indispensable story of current Assam's political sphere. The Health Minister stole the show with his day and night efforts as he was sometimes seen on foot, next day on motorcycle or the other day on bicycle reaching corners of BTR areas. The same energy and stamina was displayed by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma during the peak COVID-19 time in the State. In the run-up to the 2019 parliamentary elections, the Health Minister exhibited tremendous endurance by participating in foot procession/rallies almost daily. I being a medical practitioner simply wonder about his source of stamina. His energy and exuberance lifts the morale of party workers to go for an extra mile. Certainly it makes a huge difference.
