Made in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in which he mentioned using local goods instead of foreign ones was brilliant. PM Modi had announced what was expected from him for long, the much-needed comprehensive fiscal stimulus package to help cushion the COVID-19 economic impact. The package of Rs. 20-lakh crore with a primary focus on land, labour, liquidity and laws to make nation 'self reliant' deserves praise as it will go a long way in speeding up the process of economic recovery. Components to bolster liquidity for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are welcome. It is hoped the economic package will provide much needed relief and healing touch to our millions of battered and hapless poor and migrant workers. It is an undeniable fact that we will have to live with the virus. So, we must now focus on reviving the economy. We must continue to be alert and practice social distancing for the near future. From now on we must make a habit of checking labels for 'Made in India'.
