Of PM’s commitments and their execution

Many important commitments made by our Prime Minister have seen the light of day thereby benefitting the people of the country. But many commitments are yet to be executed. One such commitment was to bring down the price of medicine, which the Prime Minister made after his assumption of office in his first term. However, the Prime Minister did pretty little to take effective steps in this direction. The poor section of society is now finding it rather tough to afford even the necessary medicines with the galloping prices. Then again, the Prime Minister made a commitment that his government is planning to implement a national road safety policy as well as offer a cashless treatment of victims of road accidents. Such an initiative, no doubt, was very praiseworthy. India has the dubious distinction of being a nation where one accident takes place every minute and one death every four minutes. All sections of our people would be benefited if these two commitments are executed by the Prime Minister.
