Violation of social distancing norms

Health Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma is appealing to the people not to come out of their homes unless it is unavoidable. However, lots of people are not at all caring for his appeal. As broadcasted in an Assamese news channel on Wednesday, people from a religious minority group came out for marketing for Eid in Dhubri, totally ignoring the social distancing norms.

Through your esteemed daily, I would like to request the religious leaders of that community to appeal to their community members not to come out of their houses considering the current COVID-19 pandemic.
