Actor Shahid Kapoor has undraped his wax figure at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Singapore. He took it to Instagram to share the first pictures along with his statue, which does look a spitting image of the Padmaavat co-star.
“#Twinning,” Shahid captioned a picture on his Instagram which shows him posing with the wax statue. Both, the real Shahid Kapoor and also the wax one, are wearing fashionable suits and also the same shoes. More of their pictures were posted on his Instagram stories show him fixing the figure’s hair or clicking selfies with it.
The actor’s fans couldn't believe how uncanny the figure looked. “Which one is real,” asked a fan within the comments section of Shahid’s pic. “Who’s the real one you ought to mention Shasha,” suggested another. “Awesome....took me a second to differentiate,” commented another fan.
Talking regarding getting a wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s, Shahid earlier told to the media, “You do feel special, blessed and privileged too that you’ll be a part of an elite group of individuals, who are achievers. Also, I’m curious and excited to see what the statue looks like, and I’m sure that moment will be a bit weird and surreal. When I saw an image of Mahesh Babu along with his statue, I couldn’t figure out the real person (laughs). I'm happy that they thought I was deserving of wax sculpture. I'm excited to be there and be a part of that experience. I’m sure it'll be nice.
Shahid left for Singapore earlier in the week along with his wife Mira, daughter Misha and son Zain. However, he said his children wouldn't be with him for the revealing. “As for Misha and Zain, we don’t plan to take them for the revealing of the statue. Otherwise, they will assume, ‘wow, what simply happened?’ as it might be a traumatic expertise for them to see two dads (laughs). So, only my wife Mira will join me,” he said.
Shahid Kapoor shortly will be seen opposite to Kiara Advani in Kabir Singh. The film is a remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy and it will be released on June 21.
