Assamese Designer Sanjukta’s Ensemble Flaunted At Cannes

Assamese designer Sanjukta Dutta styled Top Model United Kingdom winner and Miss Film Festival International, Ingrinda for Cannes 2019 Red carpet in Indian handloom – Assamese silk. Sanjukta Dutta has taken Assamese Silk to Cannes 2019 red carpet. The designer from Assam has designed a beautiful black gown, which is like a dream woven by the rural artisans of Assam. The motifs have been specially handcrafted with a strong significance to the culture of North East India, stated a press release.

“The golden motifs represent the agriculture prop of North-East India, which is the traditional hat used by the farmers and is a sign of honor usually presented to the guests. I am very happy that I am taking the culture and the rich handloom of India to Cannes,” shared Designer Sanjukta Dutta, who made her debut at Cannes with Model Ingrinda wearing her creations as she walks the Cannes 2019 red carpet.

The Assam silk fabric for the beautiful elaborate gown has been woven in traditional fabrics owned by Dutta and the motifs too hand –woven by her expert weavers.
