Kesari: Parineeti Chopra Says That They Joke That She Did The Film Just For The Romantic Song With Akshay Kumar

Parineeti Chopra can shortly be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in the period action flick, Kesari, however, her role is quite small. In an interview, Parineeti Chopra has aforesaid she in agreed to be a part of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari despite the limited screen because she wished Kesari to be part of her filmography.

Speaking to the media in an interview, Parineeti aforesaid, “When Karan Johar, the producer called me for the role, I didn’t ask him about the number of scenes I would be in. This is often not that sort of a movie. Fifty years from now, I can proudly say that Kesari is a part of my filmography. Most often films that I or the other actor will, there are equal components. However, I wished to work with Karan, Anurag Singh, director and Akshay sir.”

“Kesari is about the boys. Of course, my character doesn’t figure within the battle. As a part of the love story within the film, I play Akshay’s deceased wife. His Havildar Ishar Singh thinks about her and their love at crucial moments of his life,” Parineeti Chopra added.

She also revealed that a romantic song was one among the most reasons she decided to go for Kesari. “When Karan played the song on behalf of me I fell enamoured with it. Now, it’s a running joke between us that I did this film only for that song,” she told to the media.

Talking regarding her career graph, Parineeti had earlier told to the media, “I started my career and had four hits followed by three films that didn’t do well and then Golmaal made Rs 230 crores. So, I feel life has a weird manner of levelling itself out. When I started out I didn’t even know what failure was until I saw my initial loss in Daawat-e-Ishq (2014) and everything felt thus negative. But, everyone used to say ‘Don’t worry, the tide turns for every actor’. And Golmaal came and made enough cash for four of my films (laughs). So, you have to be patient. Bad times are going to be tough but you have to wait for good times.”

Parineeti was recently seen in Namastey England alongside with Arjun Kapoor. She is additionally gearing up for the next release of Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra.
