This is often not that sort of a movie. Fifty years from now, I can proudly say that Kesari is a part of my filmography. Most often films that I or the other actor will, there are equal components. However, I wished to work with Karan, Anurag Singh, director and Akshay sir.”

“Kesari is about the boys. Of course, my character doesn’t figure within the battle. As a part of the love story within the film, I play Akshay’s deceased wife. His Havildar Ishar Singh thinks about her and their love at crucial moments of his life,” Parineeti Chopra added.

When I started out I didn’t even know what failure was until I saw my initial loss in Daawat-e-Ishq (2014) and everything felt thus negative. But, everyone used to say ‘Don’t worry, the tide turns for every actor’. And Golmaal came and made enough cash for four of my films (laughs). So, you have to be patient. Bad times are going to be tough but you have to wait for good times.”
