Its look like actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are set to repeat the roles which were initially played by Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the remake of the much-adored comedy of the 1980s, Satte Pe Satta. As per a report in the media, the two on-screen actors will star in the movie, the film to be directed by Farah Khan. It will be a Rohit Shetty production.
In February this year, Rohit and Farah have announced that they would be collaborating on a project together. Rohit Shetty has posted an image of the two together and written that she would direct a film produced by him. He captions the image: “Farah Khan directs the biggest action comedy flick for Rohit Shetty Pictures. Welcome to the Family Farah. Let’s fly together.” Farah too had tweeted about it.
According to the report, a source said that Deepika was a consistent choice for both. The source stated: "Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the film not only because they love her but she also fits for the role. At the point when Deepika Padukone debuted, everybody felt she had an uncanny likeness to Hema Ji as far as her magnificence too. At the point when Farah narrated the story to Deepika, she loved it and instantly gave her gesture." Deepika has done the super hit film Chennai Express with Rohit Shetty previously, while Farah was the one who launched Deepika into film Industry with Om Shanti Om and later worked with her in happy New Year too.
Actors Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan remain busy with their particular movies - while Hrithik's Super 30 is set to hit the screens on July 12, Deepika has finished her Shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak and now currently shooting for a little role in Kabir Khan's 83. The last stars her better half Ranveer Singh as former cricketer Kapil Dev, with Deepika playing his wife Romi Dev.
