12 Police Personnel of Satgaon Police Station test COVID-19 Positive

GUWAHATI: With the rising cases of COVID-19 in the State, the frontline workers are also getting affected with this highly contagious virus. The police personnel who are serving the people amid the outbreak are on very high stake of contracting COVID-19. On Friday, as many as 12 police personnel of Satgaon Police Station (PS) were tested positive for the disease.

The cases among the personnel on the State is surging rapidly and till the time of filling this report, a total of 412 police personnel have tested positive. Among them, 116 personnel have recovered and resumed their services.

It is to be mentioned that, despite taking the necessary precautions, the personnel are not being able to save themselves from the chain of the coronavirus. Many of the personnel are avoiding going to their homes and are staying in the premises of their respective police stations.
