22 tribal organizations under CCTOA to float political forum in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The 22 tribal organizations under the CCTOA (Coordination Committee of the Tribal Organizations of Assam) are going to get into a huddle at Machkhowa in Guwahati in Sunday and form a political forum.

According to CCTOA chief coordinator Aditya Khakhlari, the forum is set to take all undecided issues concerning the tribal people of the State and their aspirations. "It'll also engage itself in politics based on issues," he said. "Such such a step was taken in coordination Committee of the Tribal Organizations of Assam 2015 with the formation of the United People's Front (UPF). Despite huge prospects, the UPF was nipped in the bud. The CCTOA will keep its apolitical feature intact. The former members of the CCTOA will be members of the political forum to be floated on Sunday," he said.
