Aam Aadmi Party demands probe into Baghjan oil blowout

GUWAHATI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Assam slammed the Oil India Limited (OIL) and demanded compensation for the Baghjan victims and a high-level inquiry to find out the cause of the tragedy, on Friday.

AAP said that it is an utmost failure of the OIL authorities that it couldn't control the gas spewing for 14 days.

Addressing a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club, AAP, Assam coordinator Dr Bhaben Choudhury, secretary Bandeep Dutta and joint coordinator Abdul Wahid stated that the party is not happy about the inquiry announced by the government regarding the blowout and the death of two OIL employees.
