Abducted businessman rescued by Police from Rajapara Pahar

GUWAHATI: The police on Tuesday rescued a businessman who was abducted by unidentified persons on February 20 from the Mirza area. The victim, Munindra Talukdar alias Moni was released by the kidnappers, after the police conducted an operation at Rajapara Pahar near the Assam-Meghalaya border. Addressing the media, the victim said that he was abducted by a four-member gang and he was kept blindfolded. The victim underlined that the accused, carrying arms, were in a swift vehicle.
