GUWAHATI: "Till date none of the political parties are seriously concerned to root out the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) from power. It will be the political parties' fault if the BJP succeeds to come back to power again," said Jatiyatabad Punor Nirman Samiti (JPNSA), Assam general secretary Rajkumar Baishya while addressing a press meet here on Wednesday.

Baishya appealed to all the parties to settle their differences and come together to remove the BJP from power in the forthcoming polls.

"From today we are implementing a public awareness programme against the BJP and our members will visit offices of different political parties. We had discussions with the Raijor Dal, Assam Jatiya Parishad, and Anchalik Gana Morcha," said Baishya. Further, Baishya opined, "The BJP gave financial assistance to the weaker section of people but on the other hand they increased the prices of LPG cylinders, medicines, petrol, diesel and other essential commodities due to which the people have been largely affected. They are making schemes from the funds collected by selling national properties. From LGBI Airport to the State Zoo, everything has been privatized under the BJP regime."
