GUWAHATI: State ADGP (CID) LR Bishnoi has appealed to parents to keep a watch on mobile phones and internet being used by their wards to ascertain for what purposes they use them. Bishnoi has said that such a consciousness on the part of parents can help them prevent their wards from falling prey to some dangerous games being played in the internet these days. The CID of the State police force conducted a meeting at a school at Maligaon in Guwahati to bring about awareness among students and their guardians on cybercrimes. Cybercrimes by miscreants are a major threat to people, especially young and youth, these days.
Addressing the meeting, Bishnoi has appealed to the students and their guardians as well to be well aware of using social media, mobile phones and computers. He has appealed to the students not to fall prey to some dangerous games being played in the Internet these days. “The guardians need to keep a close watch on their wards so as to ascertain for what purposes they (wards) use the internet, social media and mobile phones. This can help parents prevent their wards from falling prey to dangerous games and miscreants,” he said. The ADGP has also interacted with both students and their guardians as well. He replied to queries on cybercrimes from students and their guardians.
