GUWAHATI: With only a six-month-working period of the BJP-AGP-BPF government at Dispur is to go, the AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) has geared up for its mission 2021 by reorganizing grassroots-level booth and regional committees, apart from various wings of the party.

Talking to The Sentinel, AGP's chief spokesperson Manoj Kumar Saikia said, "With the Assembly poll coming closer, we've started our Mission 2021. We're forming and reorganizing local-level booth and anchalik committees. We're also forming our regional women and students' wings, and even the youth wing in areas without the AYP (Asom Yuva Parishad). We're also engaged in making various schemes taken up by the coalition government in the State known to people of the State."

Sources in the regional party said that the BJP-AGP poll tie-up is to continue in the forthcoming Assembly election in the State. According to sources, the BJP has also taken a similar stand and the party has been busy in organizational activities in the State.

The AGP has 14 legislators in current State Assembly.
