Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya, Noonmati launches plantation drive

GUWAHATI: As a part of its year-long Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya, Noonmati, Guwahati launched a plantation drive at Maniram Dewan Path, Noonmati on Thursday.

The programme started at 9.30 am this morning by offering rich tributes to the departed souls of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and veteran Indian journalist, syndicated columnist, and a human right activist Kuldeep Nayar, who had also contributed financial help to Assam Jatiya Bidyalay from his MP fund.

The plantation drive programme was attended by eminent musician Ramen Barua, Jogen Barpujari, the executive director of Guwahati Refinery, eminent social worker Debeshwar Bhattacharya, among others.
