Assam Police arrested seven people for provocative content about COVID-19

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police, on Saturday, announced that stringent action is being taken against those people who are spreading provocative content, rumours and fake news about COVID-19. The department has requested the citizens to not forward or share unverified or provocative content on Social Media under any circumstance. In this regard, the Assam Police have arrested seven people so far and FIR has been lodged against 10 phone numbers. The department has asked citizens to report about such activities at their facebook or twitter account.
