Birth of Rare Hoolock Gibbon At Assam State Zoo

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden recently welcomed the offspring of a rare Hoolock Gibbon and celebrated the occasion on Saturday. As per reports, this is the first time that such a rare species breed in the State Zoo. Although the baby was born on August 2, the authorities did not reveal news of the birth as the offspring was kept under observation. Only after passing a certain period and with the offspring thriving was the news disclosed.
