GUWAHATI: The State BJP launched a website on the report cards of the people’s representatives and State office-bearers of the party at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan here on Sunday.

Launching the website www.reportcard100plus.in, State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Das said, “Through this website party workers and general public can express their opinion on the report cards of the people’s representatives of the party and its office-bearers. We’ve already sought opinions on a number of issues in the website. We’re going to explain the claims made in the website.”

Earlier on the day, the online edition of the party’s magazine – Axomiya BJP Barta – was also launched by Dass. The print edition of the magazine was released by Union Minister of State Rameshwar Teli.

Addressing the media Dass said, “We’re going to send a list of candidates for the coming Rajya Sabha election in the State to the party high command that will finalize the candidates. However, in accordance with the policy of coalition, we’ve already decided to spare one of the three seats for the BPF.”

On the third Rajya Sabha seat in the State, Dass said, “We’re keeping a close watch on the strategy of the Opposition parties.”

On people’s reaction to the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), Dass said, “In my recent visit to eight constituencies in the State currently held by the Opposition parties, I’ve come to know that people have understood the Act. Our party workers and other people came to me and shared their opinions on the CAA. They now don’t feel that the CAA is detrimental for the State. They’ve realized now that they were misguided.”

On the move for delimitation of constituencies in Assam and three other States in the Northeast, Dass further said, “We welcome the decision. While the delimitation exercise was completed elsewhere in the country long back, the Congress didn’t allow it to happen in Assam. However, we’ve no loss or gain with the exercise. We’ve our mission of 100+ intact, and both the government and the party have been working with that target in sight.” On RP Sharmah joining the Congress, Dass said, “RP Sharmah doesn’t have TRP as he had earlier. He was a sincere BJP worker. However, everybody in the party has to abide by party rules. No one is above the party.”
