BJP's advertisement is a stunt of paid news: Nazira Debabrata Saikia

GUWAHATI: Senior Assam Congress leader and sitting MLA from Nazira Debabrata Saikia has criticized the ruling BJP for publishing an advertisement in a news report format claiming that the saffron party is winning all the constituencies in the Upper Assam.

Saikia alleged that the 'advertisement with the BJP symbol' has been published in the six newspapers in a news report format to influence voters in the remaining two phases of voting.

"The publication of the advertisement in the news report format is not only violation of the Election Commission's guidelines but also a clear stunt of paid news," said Saikia.
