Book on Srimanta Sankardeva, Chihnajatra released

GUWAHATI: The book of the great figure of Assam, Srimanta Sankardeva’s Chihnajatra, has been inaugurated, in a renewed modern platform of drama by the significant playwright, researcher, the former chief general secretary of the Assam Sahitya Sabha and the present head of the Philosophy department, Cotton University, Dr. Jagadish Patgiri. The book has been released by distinguished literary figure, Dr. Lakhinandan Bora. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Bora has spoken of the significance of Dr. Patgiri’s work on the Chihnajatra, which has added a new vibrance on the modern platform of the Assamese literary culture, which undoubtedly will pave new ways for the upcoming generations with the traditional touch. Dr. Bora too regarded the unique project of Dr. Patgiri to be a mirror of the drama and literary-embedded work which is the mark of outstanding bravery in the premises of the Assamese literary work.
