Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) observes World Standards Day

GUWAHATI: On the occasion of World Standards Day the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Guwahati organized a seminar on the topic Video Standards Create a Global Stage. Dr Gopal Das, DEAN, Research & Development, IIT Guwahati formally inaugurated the programme organized at the Lily Hotel. Representatives from different industries as well as from various academic field participated in the occasion that was basically aimed at creating awareness on video standards for developing standards for video. A technical session was also held, where experts from different institutions shared their views.
