City woman powers through 150-km run for Pinkathon 2019

GUWAHATI: Celebrating the first edition of the Spirit of Pinkathon 2019, city power woman Irina Hazarika Barua, completed a strenuous 150 km run from Tezpur to Guwahati on Saturday.

Irina began the run, which was flagged off by mentor Milind Sonam and ambassador of the event Ankita Konwar, who accompanied her for the first 20 kms on Thursday. The actor and his wife were seen cheering on Irina and commending her for this brave initiative, proving to women all over and especially the State how storng they are.

“I can. I will. I did it.” With her incredible enthusiasm and positive aura, Irina ran the distance with grace, determination and energy. The scorching sun did not dither her motivation as she ran for three days straight. The entire event is focused on spreading the message of women health and fitness and generating awareness about breast cancer.
