Containment-zone tag removed from two areas of Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metro) District Administration has removed the tag of 'Containment Zone' from Katahbari and Rukminigaon, on Saturday.

The decision was taken as no further COVID-19 positive cases were detected since declaration of 'Containment Zone' in the aforementioned places.

Meanwhile, after the detection of COVID-19 positive patients in Betkuchi, an area in the locality has been marked as a containment zone. In this new containment zone, the ICOL in the Betkuchi campus to the north, the residence of Suchil Tamuly to the south, the residence of Breej Mohan Das to the east, and Maniram Deman Trade Centre to the west, have been marked as the extremities.
