Dispur promoted Twelve Police Officers In State

GUWAHATI: Dispur promoted and posted a number of police officers on Monday, leading to a massive reshuffle in the State police force.

While Assistant Commandant of 8th APBn Anjan Pandit attached to the Chief Minister’s security has been promoted and posted as 2 i/c of 7th APBn, DSP Indra Chetia of Jorhat headquarters has been promoted and transferred as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Border) Dibrugarh. While DSP of 25th AP(ONGC) Bn Prafulla Sonowal at Ligiripukhuri in Sivasagar has been promoted as 2 i/c, ACP VIP security and attached CM’s security DSP Kanteswar Gogoi has been promoted and posted as the Additional Superintendent of Police, Assam Bhawan in New Dehli; DSP 22nd AP(IR)Bn in Dhemaji Punyeswar Doley has been promoted and posted as 2 i/c of 12th APBn in Sonitpur; and DSP (SB) (SOU) Jiten Saikia has been promoted and posted as 2 i/c of 15th AP (IR) Bn, Eraligool in Karimganj district and attached to SB, Assam.

While DSP (DSB) Kokrajhar Babul Chandra Nath has been promoted and transferred as the 2 i/c of 4th APTF Bn at Howli, DSP (DSB) North Lakhimpur Haren Gogoi has been promoted and transferred as 2 i/c of 13th APBn at Lilabari in Lakhimpur; DSP, CDO Bn of Mandakata in North Guwahati Giasuddin Ahmed has been promoted and posted as the Deputy Commandant, CDO Bn; DSP 20th AP(IR)Bn, Panbari Imtaz Md Imami has been promoted and transferred as 2 i/c of 1st APTF Bn, Dakurbhita in Goalpara district; Assistant Principal of PTC, Dhergaon Brojen Bora has been promoted and transferred as the Special Superintendent of Police (B), Assam-Nagaland Inter-State (B) HQ, Jorhat; and DSP SB(S), Guwahati Bhupendra Kumr Nath has been promoted and posted as 2 i/c 26th AP (IR)Bn, Mankachar.
