Do not buy sanitizers, N95 masks without bills: CDAA

GUWAHATI: Looking at the current COVID-19 situation in the State and Assam Government's active participation in containing the pandemic, the Chemist & Druggists Association of Assam (CDAA) has appealed to the public to help in stopping the black marketing of sanitizers and N95 masks.

The CDAA has requested all the buyers and retailer customers to buy sanitizers, N95 masks with bills only. A notification issued by Dr. NL Agarwala, president of CDAA and Jitu Barman, secretary of CDAA, stated that if any person/establishment is found to be selling sanitizers without bills, their details should be immediately given to the local Police Station or CDAA office.

The CDAA stated that if any person/establishment is caught dealing in such illegal activities, then the association will take strict legal action against them.

Ghanshyam Dhanuka of GRD Pharmaceuticals, which manufactures sanitizers under the brand name "HANDUSER–C Hand Rub" also appealed to the customers not to purchase sanitizers of their brand and other products of their company above the MRP (Maximum retail price).

He also clarified that any product sold without bill may not be genuine and no manufacturer/ distributor/ dealer/ retailer will accept responsibility for goods purchased without bill.

He requested that all purchase of items related to health should be bought only with bills and genuine memos as this will also help the Government to generate revenues through tax paid products.
