Education Department, Assam to hold meeting on July 31

GUWAHATI: Following Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's hint to open educational institutes in the month of September, the Education Department has started its process and is discussing measures to open primary level schools and universities.

In this regard, the Education Department's task force meeting will be held on July 31.

The Commissioner secretary of Education Department Pritam Saikia has written a letter to all the members of the task force who will attend the meeting.

In the letter, the Commissioner informed the members that discussions will held about the measures to resume regular classes in universities and schools. Various other important issues will also be discussed in the meeting which will focus to take forward the curriculum of the educational institutes amid the pandemic.

The 30-member task force includes – Education Department's Adviser MK Choudhury, Principal Secretary, Commissioner Secretary, SEBA Chairman, university vice-chancellors and principals. It is to be noted that during the pandemic, the committee has been giving important recommendations regarding education to the Assam Government.
