Exercise restraint, DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta appeals to youth of the State

GUWAHATI,: With the law-and-order situation in the State going out of hand, DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta has appealed to the youth of the State to exercise restraint and not to take the law-and-order in their own hands.

Appealing to the youth of the State, the DGP said, “We need to see the future of Assam. The youth of the State should exercise restraint. You shouldn’t take law on your own hands. The Assam Police has been attacked. This isn’t right. The police force has been working for the country. Taking them as enemy and attacking them is not good. The police will have to do their duty when the law and order is being derailed. The trend of disrupting the law and order may lead us to a dangerous situation.”
