Facebook Page ‘Assamese Online’ Slammed for Malicious Content

GUWAHATI: As per a survey, an average person spends atleast an hour on social media everyday, and we tend to take a lot from online information. Besides bringing a plethora of knowledge, we often come across those unsavory posts that stir communal angst.

In a similar incident, a particular page on Facebook ‘Assamese Online’ has been slammed for sharing malicious content regarding community, religion, etc. The police administration has requested Facebook to pull down the page as well as provide details of the administrator operating the page. Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar said that the nodal officer of Facebook India was contacted to enquire into the matter. Along with this page, other pages with unsavory content are also being looked into.
