Fake Videos Spreading Wrong Message: Maulana Suhaib Qasimi

GUWAHATI: Addressing the media on matters like Article 370, NRC and the Chandrayaan-2, JAMAAT-E-ULAMA national president Maulana Suhaib Qasimi congratulated the Indian scientists for their efforts.

Speaking about the Centre’s step to scrap Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Qasimi said, “Videos regarding violation of Human Rights being shown are totally fake. Including Pakistan and other forces that are against India are trying to mislead people by spreading all those videos to carry the message that people are being harassed. But, all these videos are old and taken long time ago before the abolishment of Article 370. Including the Prime Minister and Home Minister and all those public who never wanted division had taken a big step by scrapping Article 370. Now, no one criticize by saying that India has two flags. The way the whole world has showed their support in this decision our Prime Minister and Home Minister should be appreciated for their initiative.”

Qasimi added, “People living there are happy and that’s why we haven’t yet witnessed any kind of protest. Moreover, a few days ago curfew has been exempted and people are normally going to their offices. It proves the step as peaceful not only to India but also for the whole world. So, even the Islamic countries like Abu Dhabi are also supporting this decision and call it as the internal matter of India.”

Speaking on the issue of NRC Qasimi said, “Outside and Inside Assam many people are being provoked by the message that they’ll be treated badly, but, the government will take some provisions for sure and a law will be made. Because no country in the world will allow illegal immigrants to permanently settle down.”
