Faking Brands, Clothes Seized by Fancy Bazar Outpost Police

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup District Students’ Union lodged a complaint that a certain retail shop in Fancy Bazar was selling makhela chador with the Sualkuchi tag, however, the bar code was missing. Upon raid by Fancy Bazar Outpost police, 160 pairs of pat muga were seized on Thursday. As per sources, an expert is to be called in to examine the clothes. In a similar incident, Levis lodged a complaint that a certain shop was selling clothes under their brand name. 100 jeans and 100 shirts were recovered from the shop.
