Gang of dacoits busted

GUWAHATI, June 2: In a swift action against a gang of dacoit, the Nellie police led by SI Jyotimoy Dutta has apprehended the whole of the eight members of the gang on Saturday. Eventually, the police recovered huge amounts of stolen goods worth more than Rs 1lakh from the possession of the criminals within a period of 10hrs. According to police source, the arrested criminals were Md Faijur Rahman (52), Md Afsar Ali (19), Md Sahidul Ali ( 21), Md Irfan Ali (20) and Md Ikbal Hussain (20), Md Maidul Islam (19), Md Habibul Ali (19), Md Mainuddin Ali (19). All the criminals hail from Morigaon district.
