Grand Bijoya Dashami celebrations on October 5

GUWAHATI: The Annual Ram Leela-cum-Ravan Dahan event will be held this year after a 4-year pause on the Vijay Dashmi day on October 5.

This year, this event is organized in an extravagant manner, the Asom Bijoya Dashmi Mahoutsav Samity said that this year they are planning to erect a 111-foot-tall effigy of Ravan, which shall be one of the main attractions of the event. The Ramleela will also be conducted by the India famous sand artist Nitish Bharati musically for an hour, which shall be displayed on a Mega LED screen at the Nehru Stadium, Guwahati.

Actor Nishita Goswami will be the Goodwill Ambassador of the event.
