GRP Recovered Pistols And Bullets At Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: Among a slew of stolen items frequently recovered from trains, this time a bag was found with two pistols and 22 rounds of .32 mm bullets concealed inside at Guwahati Railway station on Thursday. The bag was found during a routine Government Railway Police (GRP) check-up at Awadh Assam Express in an unreserved berth (Coach S1, Seat No 11). According to GRP, the bag was suspected to have been brought in at Dimapur station but its destination remains undetermined. As there was no one who claimed the bag, GRP detained a person for interrogation. The pistols have been found to be hand-made.
