Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) demolishes illegally constructed shops

GUWAHATI: Based on a complaint, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) officials inspected a commercial building at Rajgarh Main Road (in front of bylane no. 2) and demolished unauthorized shops which were constructed in the basement floor of the building.

The NOC (No Objection Certificate) for construction was issued for basement, ground floor and two commercial buildings where basement was exclusively approved for parking only. Two shops namely Food Junction and Honey Drops Wine Shop was constructed in the basement floor. Accordingly, both the shops were demolished.
