Guwahati RPF Spotted ‘Trafficking’ Of Minor Girls In Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: A team of Guwahati RPF spotted three minor girls accompanied by a lady and a man at Platfrom 1 of Guwahati Railway Station, moving in a suspicious manner. Upon interrogation, the woman, identified as Avima Ekka, 29, daughter of Emin Ekka of Borhat, Charaideo and the man as her brother, Thaidar Ekka, 25, were trafficking the girls to Delhi. The girls were supposed to be handed over to one Alam. The minor girls and the two accused were immediately taken into RPF post for further enquiry. The minor girls are all from Kachudur Bazar, Tengapani under Tinsukia district. A case (81/19 U/S 370/ 372/ 34 IPC) was registered in this regard upon complaint by Inspector RPF Prasanna Daimary on Friday at GRPS. The accused were produced before CJM on Saturday.
