Happy Kids' Montessori School in Guwahati organises Annual school function

GUWAHATI: Happy Kids' Montessori School, Baghorbari in Guwahati organized its 18th annual function on November 4 at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra Auditorium.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by principal Eli Hussain. Renowned environmentalist Purnima Devi Barman who won the Green Oscar in 2017 for her efforts in conserving the Greater Adjutant Stork, was the chief guest of the function, stated a press release. Addressing the gathering, Barman spoke about the need to protect the environment. She urged the parents present to teach their children to minimize the use of plastic in everyday life.

The students of the pre-school presented many dance performances. The Class KG students staged a play titled Green Dream which focused on climate change and gave the message of preserving the environment for the future generation. Prizes were also given away to the winners of the various competitions. The sincerity and enthusiasm with which the kids performed left the parents overwhelmed.
