Health For All, Smiles For All: GNRC Foundation Day

GUWAHATI: GNRC Dispur, the first super-specialty hospital in North East India, observed the 33rd anniversary of its establishment and mission of caring for the community, at the campus today. To commemorate the occasion, Thaomunglung Chuk-hrungfa, Chief Operating Officer of GNRC Hospital, Dispur elucidated steps taken by GNRC to address the multi-dimensional challenge of providing quality healthcare – combining humane intent, equitable practices and building trust. A felicitation programme was organized on the occasion to felicitate the representatives of various healthcare institutions spread across the state of Assam and Northeast India.

Speaking on the occasion, Chukhrungfa, said: “I would like to express our gratitude to our employees and media for their significant contribution in helping GNRC progress towards its mission of achieving Health for All, Smiles for All. This journey would not have been possible without the continuous efforts and dedication shown by the entire GNRC family. Moreover, I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the representatives of various healthcare institutions spread across the state of Assam and Northeast India who have been supporting us by carrying forward the message of Health for All, Smiles for All.”

An award distribution ceremony was also held on the occasion where Shabnam Ahmed, Chief Consultant, Department of Pathology and Microbiology; P K Gupta, Consultant, Department of Cardiology and Nipanka Goswami, Senior Consultant, Department of General Surgery were honoured for their publications in internationally acclaimed indexed journals. Moreover, best performers of various non clinical departments were also honoured on the occasion, a press release stated.
