Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation Ltd Launches Darshan Trains

GUWAHATI: As done earlier, this time also Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), a Government of India Enterprise-Under Ministry of Railways has come up with various attractive packages for the people of Northeast. The unique product of IRCTC, the Bharat Darshan Tourist Train is very popular among the people of this north east region. Earlier organized Bharat Darshan Trips were well appreciated by the people.

For this year, IRCTC has planned 3 nos of Bharat Darshan Tourist Train trips from this region. The first trip is destined for the religious circuit of Haridwar – Rishikesh – Mathura. The entire trip will conclude in 8 days duration, which starts from Guwahati Railway Station on August 26, 2019. This trip is suited best for the people who desire to take a dip in the holy river Ganga. The 2nd trip of the Bharat Darshan Tourist Train is scheduled from Agartala Railway Station on November 3, 2019 for the divine destination of Mata Vaishnodevi along with Amritsar. Seeing the huge demand among the people for this circuit, IRCTC has planned to organize the 2nd trip to Mata Vaishnodevi and Amritsar. The duration of the trip will be for 10 Nights / 11 days from Agartala to Agartala with a nominal cost of 10395, per person. The tourist will be visiting the divine shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi along with Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and witness theBeating Retreat Ceremony at the famous Wagah Border in the trip.

The 3rd trip for 2019 is scheduled for Puri along with Konark from Dibrugarh Railway Station on December 4, 2019. The duration of the trip will be 7 Nights / 8 Days from Dibrugarh to Dibrugarh, with passenger halts at Dibrugarh - Guwahati - New Bongaigaon - New Cooch Behar - New Jalpaiguri - Malda Town for boarding and de-boarding. The holy Jagannath Dham, Puri beach and the World Heritage Site, Sun Temple at Konark will be visited in the trip with a cost of only 8505, per person.

The Bharat Darshan Tourist Trains is currently the Most Economy Rail Package Tour in the country. These trips are all inclusive trips which includes entire train journey in Sleeper Class, all meals (vegetarian only), non ac accommodation at the places of stay, non ac bus for sightseeing and road transportation, travel insurance, packaged drinking water bottles, etc. Dedicated tour escorts are deputed in each coach to take care of the passengers and for security of the passengers, 01 coach security guard will be deputed in each and every coach. Normal passengers / commuters are not allowed to board this train. For entertainment during the train journey, passengers will be provided with carom boards, ludo, chess and other such games. This special train is also equipped with on – board Public Address System to relay timely and important information to the passengers. Sufficient guides will be provided for the passengers during sightseeing and road transfers.

These trips could also be availed by people who intend to travel on LTC(Leave Travel Concession). The booking of the above trips have already been opened. Tickets for booking of the Bharat Darshan Tourist Train are not available across Railway Reservation / Booking counters. For booking the Bharat Darshan Train tickets, tourist needs to do online booking fromwww.irctctourism.com. Alternatively, tourist may also visit IRCTC Regional Office, Guwahati located at Ambari, opp. Rabindra Bhawan for counter booking. People may also do the booking from IRCTC authorized e-ticketing agents and travel agencies without paying any extra amount, a press release stated.
