GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) DTO, in collaboration with various transport associations, conducted a counselling programme at Khanapara for city bus drivers and conductors so as to make their buses fit for travelling of passengers. Speaking on the occasion, Kamrup (M) DTO (Registration and Licensing) Gautam Das spelt out as to how drivers, conductors and handymen violate rules risking the lives of passengers. He also mentioned that the Gauhati High Court in a recent order expressed concern over the unruly city buses in Guwahati. "We're not going to compromise on safety of passengers. I appeal to drivers, conductors and handymen to render their duty as service to the passengers," he said.
