Khanapara field ready for 71st Republic Day in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The preparations for the 71st Republic Day is going on in full swing at the Veterinary Playground in Khanapara.

A total of 31 groups will take part in the parade on Sunday. Kamrup (M) DC Biswajeet Pegu stated that Governor Jagdish Mukhi will hoist the tricolor at 9am and proper security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident. CCTV cameras have been installed at proper places. Several schools will participate in the ceremony and various completions and cultural programmes will be held. The March past will be lead by the Assam Rifles and Air-force will shower rose petals from the sky.
