GUWAHATI: Born and bred here, BJP’s Lok Sabha poll candidate for Guwahati seat Queen Ojha thinks this prestigious constituency as her own. To mitigate a whole lot of problems afflicting the constituency, she opts to lay more importance on development as the answer to all problems.
Talking to The Sentinel on Sunday, Queen Ojha said: “Guwahati is problem-ridden. There are problems including that of potable water in hamlets atop hills. If I come out the winner, I’ll have to talk to experts so as to seek solutions to the problems. One of the problems in this constituency is that of weavers. They neither get market nor right remuneration of their products. If I come out the winner, I’ll accord priority on their wellbeing.”
On the yet-to-be-named Congress candidate who she is likely to face in a straight fight, Ojha said: “I bother the least as to who the Congress candidate is. My duty is to work for the best I can do. Since I’m born and bred in Guwahati, Guwahati is always in my core. It’s my own.”
