National Cadet Corps (NCC) as an elective subject suggested

GUWAHATI: Group Commander of NCC Guwahati Brigadier Jogesh Talukdar interacted with the Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University, Professor Pratap J Handique on Tuesday regarding the inclusion of NCC (National Cadet Corps) as a credit-based elective subject in the colleges under the university.

The Group Commander brought out that the inclusion of NCC as an elective subject in the academic curriculum will bring revolutionary and paradigm shift in the opportunities for the students of the Northeast in joining the armed forces of the country. It will also usher in nationalism, patriotism and a sense of social service to the student community. The Vice-Chancellor agreed in principle to introduce NCC as an elective subject as soon as possible for the betterment of the student communities of the Northeast.
