NF Railway to Hold Discussion with Parliamentarians

GUWAHATI, Aug 31: With an objective to make its policymaking more inclusive so that the needs of the local people are accorded paramount importance, the General Manager, NF Railway is going to hold a series of discussions with the Members of Parliament on September. Notably, the scheduled meetings are said to be planned following an instruction issued by Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal who has personally written to all the Members of Parliament of both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha to attend these meetings and offer their suggestions on railway related issues pertaining to their respective constituencies. The discussions are planned to be held with local MPs in Rangiya, Tinsukia, Alipuduar, Katihar and Lumding Division on 7th, 12th, 18th, 24th, and 28th September respectively.
